Design of the structure manifests the spirit of the National song. An attempt is made to extend the brief from a mere auditorium to a performing arts centre. The presence of such a centre in the city would be a positive thrust in the field of creative performing arts with facilities like experimental theatre, art gallery, a permanent exhibition space besides specious auditorium. With total built up area of 6000 sq m. it will house an auditorium for a capacity of 1050 seats, experimental theatre for 200 seats, amphitheatre for 250 people, cafeteria, seminar hall for 100 persons, administrative office  and public plaza.
