CIDCO was appointed as SPA for Vasai-Virar region in May, 1990 by GoM. It performs activities like carrying surveys, preparing and regulating development plans, preparing implementation and financial plans with local Municipal Councils of the region. It was handed over to Municipal Corporation on 7th July, 2010.
