Current Status

Till date the expenditure incurred for NMM Line-1 is to the tune of Rs. 1850 Crs. Civil works of Viaduct & Depot are substantially completed whereas Railway Crossing work is scheduled to be completed by October 2019. Station works due to poor performance of Contractors were required to be terminated and balance works for stations are expected to be substantially completed by December 2019. Systems work is in progress and trial run is expected to start from December 2019. CMRS Safety Certification is expected by end of March 2020. Therefore the Commercial Operations Date (COD) is anticipated as June - July 2020.

Operation & Maintenance of Navi Mumbai Metro Line-1, it is proposed to be outsourced to Private Operator for which Gross Cost model is adopted. The Detailed Project Report (DPR) for Navi Mumbai Metro Line-2,3,4 submitted by M/s. RITES is approved by CIDCO Board of Directors.

The proposals are already initiated for seeking funding as per approved DPR from MIDC, Govt. of Maharashtra and Gove. Of India. Necessary action for implementation will be initiated thereafter.
