Kharghar-Belapur Road

The CIDCO Board of Directors has approved for the construction of 9.5 kms long Khaghar-Belapur Road with an estimate of Rs.272.64 crores. The first part of the road is proposed from Kharghar, Jal Marg at sector-16 to CBD Belapur. Alike, the second part is proposed from sector-15 at CBD Belapur to the water terminal at Nerul. Of the 9.5 kms long road; the first part will be of 5 kms and will have an overhead bridge connecting the Sion-Panvel highway. The width of this road and the overhead bridge will be 30 meters. Of the remaining 4.50 kms; 1874.00 meters will be developed in the second part of the project. Rest of the road except the 1874.00 meters has been already developed.

CIDCO is developing several projects at Kharghar, Kamothe, New Panvel, Ulwe and Dronagiri nodes. Of these; there are developments like Housing Projects, Corporate Park and Metro at Kharghar alone. Similarly, there have been iconic project developments such as Central Park and Golf Course at the node which has two entry points including that from Kopar Gaon; there is a constant problem of heavy vehicular traffic at both these entry points. Thus, the Kharghar-Belapur Road will serve as an alternative route for the same.
