Water Transport Terminal, Nerul

In order to overcome the problems of traffic jam within Navi Mumbai and between Navi Mumbai and Mumbai, CIDCO has proposed to build the water transport terminal at Nerul, Navi Mumbai. This mode of transport can be developed in a short span and has the ability to handle large scale transport apart from being an environment friendly and cost-effective mode of transport. The Water Transport Terminal at Nerul will facilitate direct ferry service between Navi Mumbai and Mumbai apart from Navi Mumbai and Konkan, thereby reducing the travel time by one to one and a half hour.
