Suburban railway service between Nerul and Kharkopar

The Nerul/Seawoods-Uran Railway Corridor, which is being developed by CIDCO, was inaugurated on 11th November, 2018 by the Honorable CM of GoM. The route with 27 km. length and 10 stations will be developed in two phases. The first phase of 12 kms consists of the following route: Seawoods-Kharkopar and Belapur-Sagarsangam. Out of the five stations proposed in the first phase, the work of two stations has been completed. During the first phase, the following stations will be developed: Seawoods, Sagarsangam, Targhar, Bamandongari and Kharkopar. The work of rest of the stations proposed in the second phase is in progress. This corridor will help to connect various nodes in South Navi Mumbai to the rest of Navi Mumbai and MMR.
