Transportation & Communication
The task of T&C Planning department is planning, design and execution of Traffic and Transportation Infrastructures as well as communication systems for Navi Mumbai. The Transport System of Navi Mumbai has been integrated with overall transport system of Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The development plan of Navi Mumbai provides an Integrated Transportation System consisting of Roads, Railways, Water transport & Airport.

All the nodes are well connected by Mass Transportation System in the form of commuter railway being an economical and cost-effective mode of transportation. The city level high capacity urban expressways with controlled access are planned at the periphery of the nodes to facilitate uninterrupted flow of inter- city and intra-city vehicular traffic and the same are being constructed in stages.

T&C is also involved in execution of works related to Traffic management such as Traffic Signals, Pavement Markings, Traffic Signs, Operation of Pay & Park Systems at Truck Terminals & Railway Stations forecourt areas and Telecommunication works.

  • Video conferencing system for CIDCO.

  • Cloud hosted based solution for emergency response system at CIDCO Bhavan under as disaster management project.

  • Issue of trenching permissions & collection of reinstatement charges from the agencies.

Coordination work
Coordination with authorities such as PWD, MOST, NHAI, Railways, AAI, Ministry of Civil Aviation, MBPT, MTNL, JNPT, MMRDA, MSRDC etc.
